SAL403.  10/31/70.  L. minutum.   Abancay.  Mileage = 907.4 - 911.1.  1,800 m.  13  Km North of Abancay, 0.7 miles South of bridge over Rio Apurimac.  Plants on roadbank. #1, at mile 911.1 very large plant (by minutum standards) associated with many different plants; along edge of cornfield (#2) and roadfill (#1).  All typical features of Huanuco, Chavinillo and Curahuasi material; extra small flowers, very heavy set of small 1cm fruits; stigma at 0 position; B/w habitat and closeups.  NB: SAL403 and 402 could not be more than 1 mile apart yet appear very distinct morphologically and also in respect to their ecological preferences.  Both above in very rich soil and moderately wet situations. [Seed from 3 plants.] [Mileage log:] 906.7 Upper Apurimac Bridge, 907.4 SAL403. 1810 m. L. minutum. Single plant, Hacienda Carmen,  typical minutum growing in extremely rich soil beyond edge of corn field with Schinus.
