SAL3215.  2/2/79.  S. rickii.  Chuquicamata (Antofagasta, Chile). 2800 m.   Seeds from collection by Carlos Ochoa made 1/7/79.  From 1 of 3 plants.   Extremely dry habitat, associated only with Calandrinia spp.  Typical in all respects  to S. rickii collected in  1957 (made on same day, 22 years later!).  Rather large (1.5cm, pale lemon fruits, thin papery pericarp but still v. moist within); pedicels=20mm, articulation 2mm from fruit!  Another collection (O13094) was also made by Ochoa at Quetena, about 15Km in straight line distance from O13095, at 3150m, above Rio Loa.
