SAL4974.  8/21/80.  S. juglandifolium.  El Angel Savio (Tinajillas). Km 293.  7,200 ft.  Hallelujah!  Angel Savio = 2 Km W of Tinajillas, a few houses.  Salon ? open 24 hours, something of orchideas.  On S side of road, up slope in exceedingly wet place with mosses, liverworts, etc. .  Plant growing over small trees, simply loaded with fruit (see photos).  Very large inflorescences but small flowers and fruits.  Leaves very glossy and rough feeling.  Said to taste "amargo" (bitter).  No name or uses.
