Collection Notes
OCH-14645. Solanum lycopersicoides Dun. Collected above Putre, alt. 3450 m., Prov. Tarapaca, Chle. Isolated plants, from 1/2 - 1 meter or more in height. Very bushy and branched. Full of flowers and fruits. For sure, atypical from the Palca (Peru) or Aricota (Peru) and will be considered a new form or maybe a new variety. The most interesting feature is that this collection is highly resistant to cold and therefore, must have a great hardiness. Putre is a cold place and is located in the bottom of a valley formed by the Putre volcano, which has great glaciers.
